Toast to 2023 with all the glitz and glamour of the 1920’s at Portola Hotel & Spa’s Annual New Year's Eve celebration! The yearend event will include live music, dancing, a buffet dinner, an open bar, champagne toast, and more. The New Year's Eve merriments begin at 7pm on Saturday, December 31, 2022 for guests 21+ and older.
OPEN BAR ALL NIGHT
While prohibition in the 1920’s gave rise to the infamous speakeasies, the open bars won’t require a password or bootlegging! Partygoers will be greeted with tray passed champagne upon arrival and the bars will be open all night. Featured beverages include select chardonnay, pinot noir, cabernet, well cocktails, cordials, and beer selections like Peter B’s award-winning craft beer. Ring in 2023 with a champagne toast at midnight and a balloon drop in the grand ballroom.
ENTERTAINMENT
The Alison Sharino Band will bring the ballroom alive with contagious energy to keep the crowd dancing all night long. Find a spot on the dance floor among fellow partygoers and partake in the most iconic dances of the 1920’s including the Charleston, Fox Trot, and Shimmy. A versatile dance band with high energy, the Alison Sharino Band will perform a mix of hits from 1970-2020. Before the night ends, capture your evening with photos at the photo booth provided by The Vintage PhotoBox™.
THE MENU
Guests will pair their welcome champagne or select beverage from the open bar with a variety of hand passed hors d'oeuvres during the opening reception. Dinner will include a spectacular buffet selection including Baby Greens with Asparagus, Wild King Salmon, Grilled Chicken with Fig Ragu Polenta, Harris Ranch New York Strip, and much more. Indulge in decadent desserts like Petite Fours, Lemon Tarts, and Chocolate Truffles. Complete the evening with late night snacks specially prepared to compliment an evening of celebratory food and drinks.
ATTIRE
Recommended evening attire includes period pieces with glitz and glam like flapper dresses with fringe and beading, and elaborate accessories like gemstones or feathers. Art deco patterns, three-piece suits, fedoras, and flat caps all offer guests a means to use fashion to express themselves through style. While iconic with 1920’s gangster attire, fake guns/weapons are not permitted at this event.
PARKING
Parking is available at the Portola Hotel for an additional fee. Parking rates are not included in the New Year’s Eve ticket price. We encourage guests to drink responsibly and choose a local driving service like Uber, Lyft or a Taxi for the evening.
