Event Details
Please join us at this valuable and fun training and public service opportunity. All branches of Citizens Corps will be working side-by-side with the County Sheriff's Office, County Fire Department, and Cupertino Public Works and Recreation and Parks & Recreation Departments--the same groups we are likely to work with during disasters.
Our job will be to help ensure the safety of the public by serving as "eyes and ears", maintaining communications, and providing first aid services.
Assignments include 1) venue leads, 2) barricade monitors, 3) field responders, 4) first aid, 5) net control operator, 6) scribe, 7) shift supervisor, 8) logistics, 9) safety officer, and 10) check-in / check-out.
Our operating period will be 7:30 pm - 11:00 pm, July 4, and check-in will be at Hyde Middle School, beginning at 7:00 pm. Additional information will be provided between now and July 4 to volunteers who have registered for the event.
Besides being great fun, we need to make this a safe, enjoyable event for our city.
Thanks for volunteering!
