San Francisco Labor Day Getaways
Labor Day Weekend is also a fantastic chance to take a nice road trip to numerous locations outside San Francisco. Take famous Highway 1 from San Francisco to Fort Bragg, Napa Valley’s Silverado Trail, Redding to Lassen Volcanic National Park, Lake Tahoe to Lone Pine, or Yosemite National Park, Sierra Vista Scenic Byway. Also try Highway 101 from Malibu to Lompoc, Beach-to-Desert Drive from San Diego, Surf Safari through Orange County, and others. One of the most beautiful roads is Highway 1 that brings you through Big Sur to California’s Central Coast.
Shakespeare in the Park (September 3–11, 2022)
Shakespeare in the Park is a flagship program of the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival that plays a vital role in the Bay Area. Shakespeare in the Park is an admission-free event, funded by donations only. It brings unbelievable Shakespeare productions to large and diverse audiences. Shakespeare in the Park is the most extensive free Shakespeare program in the nation, reaching up to 30,000 people each year in public parks of the Bay Area. All the plays in terms of the program demonstrate its relevance to today's society and inspire people to seek out new theatrical experiences.
Sausalito Art Festival (rescheduled to May 21–22, 2022)
On Labor Day Weekend, over 260 award-winning artists from all around the States and over 30,000 patrons get together in the Sausalito village, for the annual Sausalito Art Festival. This event is considered to be one of the oldest, most anticipated, and prestigious open-air art festivals. It has been setting the standard for quality, innovation, variety, and artistry scope for over 60 years. So come and witness the festival's special exhibitions, an impressive entertainment lineup, and a multiplicity of food, beer, and wine. See a pure transformation of Sausalito village into a three-day “Camelot” of community and art.
