Welcome and thank you for joining this event. Our intention is to spread awareness about the critically endangered animals on the verge of extinction in the Sumatra region of Indonesia.
Currently there are less than 6,500 orangutans, 400 tigers, 100 rhinos and a few hundred elephants remaining in the wild. The vast wealth of natural resources has attracted large-scale international corporations focused on extractive industries, mainly palm oil.
