November 24-26 - Integrating Daily Life with Dzogchen, based on Dudjom Rinpoche's Advice for Dzogchen Practitioners, with Lama Sonam Rinpoche
Lama Sonam Rinpoche says, “These teachings are very special, like the essence of Dudjom Rinpoche’s Mountain Retreat teachings. In the beginning, how do we engage with Dharma, not just superficially, but actually how do we build a firm foundation in Dharma? After that, in the middle, how do we practice in an effective way, not only understanding in an intellectual way? Then, how do we maintain practice during daily life, engage samsara phenomena, and fulfill our lives through Dharma? This is very beautiful, very simple, and very precise. Everybody needs these teachings.”
THANKSGIVING DAY: Thursday November 23
From 1:30 - 3:30 PM Lama Sonam Rinpoche will lead us in Dudjom Lingpa's Pure Land practice of Buddha Amitabha, which will be followed by our annual Thanksgiving sangha dinner.
Thanksgiving is a special day for loved ones to gather and for that reason it is positive. But it is also a time when many turkeys' lives are taken. We are doing this puja to pray that these turkeys be reborn in Amitabha's pureland. This practice will focus our compassion for them and all sentient beings, including our loved ones who may be ill or have passed away." ~ Lama Sonam Rinpoche, 2014
